This week I have been participating in the 21 day meditation offered by Deepak Chopra and Oprah Winfrey entitled, Expanding Your Happiness.  I'm glad I am doing it and it has brought me discomfort as well.

I was attracted to it because of the expansion .........

It seems that If I want to experience expansion I can.  All I have to do is ask for it and I get it.

It is clear to me now that it never comes to me without some fear and discomfort.  This week has been like boot camp for me in that there is a new mantra every day.  I am used to staying with a mantra for weeks or even months at a time so there is a lot of time for me to absorb and a long gap between the uprisings of fear and its discomfort.

Expanding the boundaries of what I think is possible is turning out to be way more possible that I thought.....  the key is turning out to be my willingness to go into it.  Each movement is proving to be great and terrible at the same time.  As this week has brought me to a choice to expand every day I have seen clearly the relationship between my quest to expand and my willingness to participate.  Participation requires the leap......the great and terrible leap....the great and terrible feeling of open space.....the great and terrible experience of embracing fear...... the great and terrible discomfort of unfamiliar.......

Unfamiliar.......and then it's not.....  I find that it is familiar to be so free.  Underneath all the layers of conditioning that have kept me bound I find my true self; who is the un-self...........

..........Anatta.
